CONGRATULATIONS CARISSA AND TEAM USA!
Carissa Gordon won the 63kg class at the 2005 Pan American Championships! She snatched 90kgs, getting fourth place in the snatch, and then pulled out a 114kg clean and jerk to come through with a 204kg total and the victory! This was a VERY tight competition with Carissa winning on bodyweight over fellow Team USA member Natalie Woolfolk who took the silver medal and with the Columbian woman who took the bronze medal.
