Calf pain

So I am just looking mainly for verification. Recently, mabe for the past 5 weeks, I have had pain in my calves. It is on the outsides down by the ankles. The pain also gets more pronounced the higher I get in my lifts towards max. Interestling more when I release tension on them after the lift. Howver, they are also sore for most of the day as well. I work a job were I sit on a stool and am on my feet a lot. I am thinking the pain is a result from being tight in my calves. Do any of you seem to have the same issue and do you agree with my assessment. Upon attempting to massage them massaging by were the pain is does not really feel like it is doing anything, however, if I massage further up my calve by the muscle it is pretty tender which leads me to believe it is muscular and tightness that is putting a constant pull lower in calve.

I had recently a similar pain and it vanished with two days making calf exercitation (like the bodybuilders do, with light weight, 20 reps).
But others times, it was consequence of sciatic and it vanishes with this other pain.

Is it some shin splints? Do you do any running or other sort of sport (basketball, so on)?

Not shin splints, took a week of unloading and did some extra stretching on the calves and it pretty much eliminated the problem. Also, did some body weight squats with my toes pointed forward which helped as well.
