Ill try to remember to talk to him today. I know at the height of my weight gain I was taking down 3 gallons a week. Much less than a gallon a day but I didn't mind it, I like milk. I did get a bit gassy though.

The sure sign of a well fueled machine.

My friend said, he did it when he was a beginner and he said he saw gains. Take it for what it is as you can throw most things at a beginner and they see improvements. He said he would probably do it differently now by using some milk and supplementing protein with it for less calories.

Well I think milk is a very good food. Personally, I would put banana in the milk in a blender. Whether I can afford a lot of fruit though, I don't know.
Really the main gain is in how much general food you consume, I think. And drinking is a LOT easier than eating. So that is the benefit - milk is solid and good enough. I cannot afford to buy supplement stuffs, though (I'd have to order them on the net as they are not sold locally, and it would be too expensive that way). I have to rely on raw ingredients.
So yeah, I might be going large quantities of fruit smoothies. The rest of my diet is mostly rice, bread, pork and eggs with some vegies here and there.
