Let's put the blame for the fascist insurance industry where it belongs, with government. It is government that regulates them to make free entry into the industry more expensive, thus pushing toward cartelization. It is government which says what policies they can sell. It is government that enforces and interprets the contracts to the disadvantage of the consumer. As for being an idiot, just ignore it Andy.

I worked 10 years with tarification of life insurances, and subscription norms.
So, most of companies have an analisys with "raw information" as IBM, and fixes the premium with this.
But, in special cases, as insurances for higher amounts, or, by solicitation of the client, they make a study of the client by a medical, and the price is fixed in function of this results.

Reaper, no worries I am not losing any sleep over the comment, my last name is Dick for crying out loud I have a very thick skin.  I appreciate truth when it is given to me, but perhaps consider how you say things, as how something is said can cause the other person to disregard what you said based on how it is said.  In the present circumstance if you would have said your second explaination comment instead of how you said it the first time it would have been better recieved.

I do understand what you say on insurance as you are basically banking on bad things happening to you.  I do agree with you on that view, and am very mistrusting of them.  However, I do feel it is not a bad idea to spend a little of my money on just in case, that I do not feel is unwise.  You do have a very good plan with how you invested your money but I am unable to do such a thing.  As my money does not go as far.

Yes, well land is alot cheaper in SE Asia, so it's easier to buy (even given the income differences, still easier). You fools living in rich countries with massive incomes have things lot harder... LOL. You live and die without ownling lands or businesses in many cases - land and business might be worth less in Thailand, but the fact you have them where as many Americans don't says something. Too much of an attitude of going to school and getting a certificate so you can work for someone else rather than developing a legacy to leave to your kids.

(Just as so you know what I mean, 1 rai in rural Thailand (which is 40x40m) of undeveloped land is about $3,000 US. Cheap.)

My wife took out life insurance where the payments were over her head, really, just before I met her. It was because she had a son whose father pissed off somewhere. I had to pay the focking thing off after I married her. Fux sake...

Yep, I am basically getting the screw you from the insurance company.  Basically this is how they do it and they don't take special consideration on individuals.  I am still fighting it before I tell them to shove it, but I can already tell they dont care, they do not feel like listening to reason.

Is the only company? Is the plan already bonified because less administrative expenses?
