Chris they don't send guards.  They just clear out all your assets until they get "thier cut."  Much more effective.  Note, my dad had issues with the IRS when I was in about high school.  We ended up losing our house.  When trying to work things out with them, 2 different people the case worker and their supervisor, told my dad when he asked why are you just taking my money and causing us to lose our house, they said "The money you make is our money we are just letting you keep some."

Oh, they don't send guards; they send a swat team- a professional home invasion team. Try defending whatever it is they want to steal from you, which is your fundamental right of course. They will murder you, if its not easier to rob and kidnap you. And, they will likely shoot your dog(s) and maybe your kid(s) if you have any, to send a message that its easier to submit.

Chris, I think we are speaking about different concepts of slavery. I think if you are free (really free, not namely free) of stay or go out, you are not slave. I think that if you receive a good payment and good conditions of work, you are not slave. Obviously, if you define slave as each person that participates of the system, and if each person that pays taxation is robbed, so we are slaves and robbed in Brasil, in USA, in Europa and in China.
Tell me, please, in what country I will work without slavery, in what country I will not pay any taxation. May be interesant for me to consider another migration.

We aren't speaking about different concepts of slavery. Statists never want to define the word because it is impossible to define it rationally in such a way way that the state isn't a slavemaster. Slavery is being forced to work for other people, a denial of private property. Taxation is slavery. Your feelings are irrelevant in regard to the justice of such aggression and coercion against others. You could donate your money if you want, without the state pointing guns at everyone else and robbing them.
