The domain, and hosting bill, are coming up for renewal soon. I can't see spending my money to support a sport that has done nothing but spit on me and screw me. I have looked into the possibility that someone might want to buy me out, even looked into donating the hall of fame to a couple people. I got no response from two I asked and one said no thanks. The site seems to have no value and so be it. I welcome input but I don't think I will be spending my cash to keep this site going any longer nor do I care if others do.

Sorry to see it go Chris, it's a good site. I've always enjoyed your opinions going back to the goheavy days. Your not afraid to speak your mind and that's a good thing. Your still the strongest featherweight we've ever had, that is contribution enough.

There is no shortage of stories where a small business person has been hit with tens of thousands or more of legal costs from their own lawyers. Then there is the potential of having to pay for the other sides legal costs if the small business person loses

This is really sad news for me.  I hate to see it go but cannot afford to front the money to keep it going.  I have learned a lot of good things pertaining to weightlifting from the site and have gotten a lot of help.  I will be very sorry to see it go and am not looking forward to having to move over to goheavy now for weightlifting discussion and advice but not sure were else to go.  Pendlay forum maybe?  Is the weightlifting exchange still up on facebook were we can exchange ideas still and keep in contact from many from the site?  When is the date of demise for WE?

There has been a private offer to pay the bills. I am considering the offer. The site costs about $100 a year to maintain- FYI.

Are you looking to sell the content, or just run the site and pay the expenses?
