There exists law. Is valid the action to eliminate or to change the law, or opinion against the law. (There are groups pro -maconha and pro - cockfighting, there is still a little group pro - monarchy)
But if he had 9 kgs of cocaina, he is a criminal wth the actual law. 36 years is a responsability age.
And if he was abussed in prision he have rights to a civil action against the govern.
Prision here is not a good thing, is good to think twice for pass as far as possible of them.

There is nothing criminal about possessing private property, the "law" be damned.

I think non-violent crimes and the punishment for them is seriously out of whack. Drugs are especially a messed up topic because so many are legal but yet others are illegal. If you are going to make a drug illegal, make all drugs illegal, don't pretend to play big brother and say what drugs we can do and what drugs we can't do. It doesn't make much sense, there are so many things legal that are very bad for you yet certain things are illegal. Should salt be illegal? Should sugar be illegal? Should fatty food be illegal? Those substances mess up a lot of people. I'm gonna eat some bacon in the morning, I'm glad that's legal even though it's not healthy.

In order for some "special" people, who falsely and criminally claim to "represent" other people without permission, to prevent possession and trade of certain forms of private property they don't like, they must initiate aggression and coercion against people who have used no aggression and coercion. In short, it is the drug war which is criminal and all who conduct and support it. They are initiating violence against the innocent for reasons of pure bigotry.

"Trafficking" is govspeak for free trade. Trade is not a crime and neither is private property- no matter who says differently and no matter what their reason.

Here, if you sell cocaine to another person, you are criminal. If you have 9 kgs of cocaine you are automatically classified by a cocaine salesman. From logical point of view, I think legitime to discrepe with the criterion and their limits. But is now the law.
See an example: bikini is wonderful, but if an american woman shows herself in public wearing bikini in a  fundamentalist country, she is criminal. I may think that this would not be so, but they are applying rightly their law.
