Do you enyoy "playng a poker" in the championship with the last weights in the clean and jerk?
My team always was better in C+J that in snatch. So, in the second part of the constest we frequently run after the advantagem got for the challengers in the first part.
And sometimes, to be succesfull, we bluff, change attemps, etc.
happily, we have, in these situation, the last world.
Is famous the estrategy of Leonid Szabotinsky to defeat Yuri Vlasov in Tokio.

I think strategy in attempts is a must even at the higher levels. This should be a normal part of sport, not only compete physically but mentally as well.

I'm not a coach, but your thoughts make sense. What I don't understand is the coaches who try to "outwit" each other with their opening attempts. Seems to be a huge waste of time.

you declare an opening attempt bigger to avoid the challenger to think and calculate. Only aplies in the jerk, when you must compensate disvantagem in snatch.

is estrategy like istrategy and is apple involved lmao, seriously if coaches want to "play"
strategy it can quickly blow up in their face if they dont
a) know the rules very well &
b) completely know capabilities on day of said lifter
c) completely know weakness of opoosing coaches and their lifters
simply put if you lifter is within 3 potential lifts you must be ready at any second to declare at least the next attempt, otherwise, if other coaches quick change you only have 30 secs to make that declaration
being smart with this can put other coaches and therefore their lifters under extra stress
and act as an advantage when used appropriately!! watch battle of coaches in 63kg class

There is no shortage of stories where a small business person has been hit with tens of thousands or more of legal costs from their own lawyers. Then there is the potential of having to pay for the other sides legal costs if the small business person loses
