Hernia - any advice?

Hey guys,
looks like a may have a hernia near my belly button - its only tiny and gotta wait to have it confirmed by the doc on tuesday! Anyone had any experience with this? If so - whats your advice??

If it´s really hernia, it needs surgery. Especially if want make sport

Agreed, I had a double inguinal herina repaired about 2-3 years ago. If you do not have it repaired it will continue to grow or worse case scenario it will strangulate which can be fatal. The hardest part about it all is after it is reparied you cannot lift more than 25lbs (as per docs recommendation) for about a month while the mesh sets in. With hard training I got most of my strength back in a few months and have had no problem with it since. I did have some issues with scar tissue at first but it eventually worked itself out. I think I have a post on this forum about it.

An umbilical hernia is no biggie. My wife had one. It was a quick in and out to get it stitched up.

hey guys,
thanks for the advice - should have said i had an inguinal hernia repair about 7 years ago it wasnt from lifting tho - it was a birth defect!
Hoping for a quick in and out repair, if its un umbilical hernia - as my lifting was finally starting to get somewhere!!!
