Training Priority

Relative neophyte to weightlifting. I'm training for a meet right now and I am about a month out. I feel that I have a good strength base relative to my ability in the competition lifts. Just not that great with the snatch and the clean and jerk. Should I still give training time to squatting and other such lifting or should I really hit the competition lifts and not worry about aspects that I'm not weak at? Thanks for any help.

My opinion, more competition lifts and minimum everything else as of this phase.

Basically you should be snatching, clean and jerking and squatting. That's it.

Don't eliminate your strength work, just maintain it for now. Naturally your priority will be on the classic lifts for competition. Work on technique and power.

Thanks all for the input.
The numbers: Snatch: 76kg ( best competition lift, and I'm probably not at that now )
Clean and Jerk: 90 ( like snatch, probably not there now and just switched to power jerk )
Squat: 210
Press: 80 ( just a guess, don't do these heavy much )

In those coordinates, you need to concentrate in the olimpic lifts if your objective is improve them. The restriction about the complements are largely satisfied

Thank you sir. I am doing just that at this time. And just switched to power jerk and it seems that I'll get a PR with that soon.
