I tryed some hang snatches from the blocks a couple of days ago. But, When I catch the bar my body moves to the left side. Maybe you guys can help me? it seems to be something with the hips??

I am not an expert on what might be causing this, but here are a few guesses.  It could be due to flexibility or one leg more dominant than the other.  I would assume if something was preventing you from coming right up as a bone spur or something you would know, because you would simply not be able to come up straight and it would feel as something was holding from doing it.

Do you have this problem when deep squatting or deep overhead squatting?

Try some of these tricks.  After each workout squat down into a full squat and hold it for 20 seconds then squat up.  Do this 5 times in a row.  I started doing this months ago and within 1 week it did wonders for my hip flexibility and my ability to sit in a full squat easily, comfortably, and feel completely at home down there.  This may help fix it if it is a flexibility issue.

The other thing is try to do a pause after the catch at the bottom.  So catch the weight and sit down there for a 1 or 2 count then come up and really focus on not leaning to a side and see if it helps.  This will get you a second to gather your mind and attempt to stand without the lean to the side.

Perhaps get a video of squatting, over head squatting, and attempting the pause after the catch and put it up here to show us if it happens during any of these things.

Do you have any chronic pain anywhere in the legs, ankles or feet? It could be minor, but if its chronic it can affect your movement. I have had a form of arthritis in my right foot that has caused me to often catch my snatch similarly to you though not as extreme. It has also caused me to change my gait enough to affect my knee a little. My range of motion and flexibility is fine, my sub-conscious is just trying to protect itself from more pain.

no, I don't have that problems while squatting deep and overhead squatting. maybe I have to do more overhead squats cause Im only do front and back squats

Im not really flexibel indeed. Im just not thinking about doing flexibility work when im training  :)ugh

I don't have any chronic pain. I don't have this problem while snatching from the floor btw. I think I have to do more flexibility work and overhead squats as assistance for my snatch and finish with foam rolling after a training

Two testes:
1) check de level of the floor and of the bar with the instrument used in building. If have not, use a glass or a bottle with water.
2) make snatch looking to the contrary side. If the left arm fails, so is anatomical problem. Is the right fails, is level system problem

I know the platform is not 100% straight / perpendicular, but that are some millimeters . I think I have to do more flexibility work and just....practice the snatch!  ):wlfter

thnks for your replies

Well, if the plattaform is plain, but not perpendicular, it exist a straight direction, (r), such that each parallel line is horizontal. It may be diagonal, but exists.
So, lift with the bar parallel to that direction r and the two arms will stay in the same height.
