If you are a National Weightlifting coach......
« on: Sep 09, 2011, 05:56 AM »
This is one of those "What if" threads. Let's make it awesome:

If you are a National Weightlifting coach of a country and you are the head coach and all of what you say will be done, what would you have your athletes do?

Let's say the government decided to fully invest on weightlifting and threw you all the money you need to fund your athlete's efforts, what would you do? Don't forget that in this scenario, you will be given athletes of all types. Beginners, Intermediates, Advanced, and Elite athletes will be looking for your guidance. How would you handle each group?

What kinds of training programs would you have them do? Etc.

Government has nothing that it doesn't first steal. Any government funding of weightlifting is pure and utter evil and I would have nothing but total disdain for it.

Who cares? As long as they're not stealing from charitable organizations, medicare, and insurances, who cares?

We need funding for weightlifting.

Well, everyone you want the government to steal from cares. Certainly, I care. Any such theft to subsidize weightlifting is pure evil.

Its not really complicated. Government takes things from people by use of physical force and-or the threat of physical force- the very definition of theft. There is no possible justification for making people pay to subsidize other people lifting weights, if any theft could ever be justified. Its just another example of how government is nothing but a tool of the masses to try and rob each other. The idea of stealing from anyone to fund something so unimportant, let alone stealing from the handicapped, the poor, etc, is simply evil, is no different than if I went out and robbed people personally to fund my weightlifting.
