What training to do whilst injured
«

Hi everyone,
I'm currently recovering from a torn calf muscle sustained in my other sport: rugby.
Was wondering what upper body exercises I should be doing to help my weightlifting whilst I'm out as it looks as though its going to be about 4-5 weeks. I'm quite conscious that the wrong exercises could inhibit my ability to lift!

Since weightlifting is a sport where any form of dynamic movement from the upper-body is almost nonexistent, I say nothing...
Seriously though, declined barbell pullovers can greatly help with lat-development while teaching you to squeeze your lats when pulling from the floor.

Seated presses and chest-supported rows.
