anybody know how to take some of the sharpness of a new bar?

Its a york. higher end bar needle bearings good whip and all. Just lifted with it today and it tore my hands and neck up pretty bad.

On the middle knurling you can put a layer of sports tape on it.    :)banghead

The best tape to use is actually blue painters' masking tape.

A great way to have something that is gently grippy for the hands,

while also smooth for the shins, easy on the neck (FS and SQ),

endures well, and easy to remove w/o residue when wanted.

Ideal for making a smooth center bar more SQ-friendly.
