Get a coach. It really doesn't have to be the best coach in the world, but somebody who knows the right
lifting technique. Plus you learn how to handle heavy weight. There are many small mistakes in your
technique which can easily be corrected. You simply lose a lot of time if you try to coach yourself. At your
stage you have no feeling for what is right or wrong.
In the case of the video the weight is very low for your strength level. The technique is just not there.
And your excuse with the slippery shoulders made me laugh actually.
So get a coach and get the basics right. Otherwise there is no need to philosophy about any super system,
because your lack of technique will hinder your progress.

AMEN!!!!  Even the best perfect system will fail if technique is not correct and efficient.

By the way guys, I have switched to segmented snatches instead of regular snatches. I want to reinforce the positions because my snatch performance is VERY inconsistent.

Is this a good move? (Don't recommend coaches please.)

Segment snatches can help to learn some positions, but they not sustitute the classic snatch in the training. People finish lifting much more in partial snatches, and  minus in classical.

Very curious position. Am I really understanding you correctly that you are willing to take advice from unknown people on an internet forum but not an experienced-successful coach? Very interesting....

I understand. I, you, every of us may speak, but he is master of his life. He will make that he wants with our information. Right or wrong.
Many times this freedom is lost with a formal coach.
But that position is reasonable when you are already more oriented, and you have an own environment.
When you are learning the basic, frequently this freedom is too expensive.
