Also, I want to know, when you are measuring a jump like this, are you supposed to measure distance of TOE and FLOOR? Or HEEL and FLOOR?

It's more like, you are measuring the change in the center of gravity
But, I measured from where the center of your foot would be if standing

Most of the time when testing a vertical you take standing 1 hand reach measurement without feet leaving the ground. Then jump and touch a point as high as possible and take that measurement. Then subtract the your reach height from the jump height.

In addition to Andy: You can just use some chalk to mark a spot on the wall. Then do the math.
