Hi everyone,
I have long legs and arms and a short torso, how will this effect my start position, is the normal start position still the correct one for me?
Thanks

"Normal" position is referred to the most frequent anatomy. If your anatomy is different, is probably the best position will be rather diferent, too.
I think Yuri Vardanian has long arms and legs, and short trunc. He has a start different of habitual.
Probably the convenient is to experiment different positions.

Basically you will start with the bar a little further away and the hips a bit higher.

Thanks for your replies,
Matt, could you please elaberate on why having a higher hipped start position would be advantagous for a long-limbed lifter?
Thanks

He's saying people with the dimensions you described would start with the hips higher generally , because otherwise, with a lower hip position there would be too much flexion in your knees and it would be more difficult to raise the bar past your knees. It's not an advantage but rather a requirement basically for a lifter with that body type.
