I myself will switch to something different once I reach my ultimate goal of a 405-pound clean+jerk. That is my own, "personal gold medal" that I work on achieving for myself... But I will never ever switch to anything until I reach that goal first. I may even extend it to 455-pounds if I feel like it.

How about you?

I ran the 400 and 800 before I was a weightlifter. I would have been a 100 and 200 guy really if the coach wasn't ignorant-racist and believe a short white kid couldn't run fast. ;)

Why would switch sports if Olympic Weightlifting is the greatest sport in the world. LOL you say you train "Bulgarian style" but plan on leaving the sport once you clean n jerk 184kg....is that not a huge oxymoron?!?? How could you "be apart" of the most intense, motivated, and desire to never quit and reach new heights daily style of program but soley want to quit after c&j 184kg. Its funny cuz I went hard on your lack of understanding about Bulgarian weightlifting to realize your proving me right, that nobody has their mindset of a champion like they did(at least very few, maybe guys like Pat Mendes or Donny Shankle) but the real question is why a 184kg c&j?? Why not at least 200kg, you may be the next Dimas don't under-estimate yourself dude you have alot of potential in this sport.

For me Powerlifting(RAW)(Drug Free) and I'd still be pulling double overhand and high bar squatting :)dance

I like compete in weightlifting and powerlifting.
But less pretenciously, and with less frequency and more effort, I made some public runs of 10 kms. I win to 2 fat men of 140 kgs.

lol.

I wanted to get in this sport because it is the greatest sport in the world. It is not just about my own glory. I know that by the time I reach a 184KG clean+jerk, I would already have accumulated a vast wisdom, knowledge, and experience in training. I will then switch to a different "hobby" while I help athletes become better weightlifters and promote weightlifting itself.

The main reason why I want to be strong is to make a name for myself in the sport. And the only reason why I want to make a name for myself is because it will give me the credibility to HELP people.
