Oh ok, I have read the second article, and am in the process of reading through part 2 of the first one.  Haven't read the third.  There is good stuff and especially on the variation I have as of late been trying to program in.  I only wonder if there is much use of going back to the sets of 10 scheme as often as it seems they do .  I will do a set of 10 cycle once or twice a year then cycle between 5-6's, 3's and 1-2's.

I think if you include a better contest prep cycle, then it would be longer before you came around to the "tens". I think twice a year would be good.

The secret is to be really polished.  Eliminate anything under your control that resists seamless execution.  Train accordingly.

Strive for a perfect lockout every time.  Strive for sound positions every time.  No crumpling of the back and shoulders.  No twisting or transverse displacement of the feet.  Be very smooth and elastic.  Never be content with sloppy recoveries.  Never let the bar crush you or fall on you.    If you have a mobility deficit that is not an inborn physical limitation, figure out a way to work on it and don't slack.

PRs are one thing but the weight you can make with 90+% consistency is another thing and probably more important.
