Shoulder pains after snatches and cleans...
«

This has been an issue for me way back then (two years ago when I was still in my "prime."). I just got back from strength training 9 days ago and I did some squats, power snatches, and power clean + push press with my daily max...
However, I may have overestimated my daily max and I am feeling pain on my shoulders (the kind if pain that I really really feel when I rotate my rotator cuffs.).
Is this due to the fact that I don't drop weights to the floor even though I try my best to NOT control it down? (After the overhead position of either lift, I first let it drop to my thigh and slowly put it back on the floor)
It may have been due to a non-extensive warmup. I feel almost NO pan WHILE I LIFT but there is that lingering aching feeling afterwards.
Thank you in advance. The pain is bothering me.

Many of the factors you namend and many more could be the cause for your problem. All we can do is guesswork.

Are you doing dislocates with a stick?

I do it with the Olympic Bar. What I do is I get in an overhead squat position and do a good-morning movement while keeping the bar in its place.
