« on: Apr 27, 2011, 03:45 PM »
In the site, this interesant article about how train an hipotetical case.
http://weightliftingexchange.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=53&Itemid=59
But, the chains brokes for its weaker link, so this hipotetical man records 167,5 in clean and jerk, and only 190 in front squat.
The most economical system consist in improve the front squat as priority. This, in the case, is the limitant factor.
I don´t think is wrong to structure sofisticated system, but no forget pay atention to details as this.

Is 190 weak in the front squat, for a 167.5 kg clean and jerk? Maybe a little low but not by much. It's about 113% of the cj. I'd say both lifts are in sync. Arturo, would you argue that the focus should be on strength up until it's out of balance, and then refocus on the snatch & clean and jerk?

Not necesarily the squat improving must be previous in time. May be simultaneous. But if it not occur,  will not be significative improvement in the C+J.
