Shoulder subluxation
«

Hi guys, long time lurker first time poster.
I suffer from shoulder subluxation, in that my shoulders partially dislocate and have done since birth, quite easily.
This weakness has become a lot more apparent since I started performing jerks. I can really feel the back of the shoulder joint just not being strong enough to suddenly support the weight overhead.
I was wondering if anyone here has experience and success remedying this very annoying ailment.
Thanks in advance :)

It might help if you make sure to use your arms in the jerk. Once the bar separates from your shoulders you need to start pressing on the bar. Some people like to point out that you are pressing yourself under rather than pressing the bar up, but the point is that your arms become active in the lift before lockout so that the bar isn't jarring you when you catch it over head.
This is kind of a stab in the dark, but maybe some big time hypertrophy for your shoulder girdle would be beneficial. Bench press, rows, shoulder exercises, external rotations, etc. Do 8-12 reps and just try to beef them up.

Thanks man, I will try that.
I don't do many of those movements.
