Thanks very much Sean.  I think you guys (and gals) are doing the most innovative, nowhere-even-near-the-box  training since Abadjiev tossed out his Medvedyev manual.

Sorry about the delay in responding.  I was having some password issues.  Thank you very much Sean for all of the information.  It is very insightful and informative.   Do you guys do any sort of assistance work such as pull ups, dips or plyos?   I actually emailed Dr. Pierce, but am waiting back for a response. I am sure he is busy as heck!  Now as far as coming to lift down there. . . I would love to sometime! Maybe in the future it will be possible.  Thanks again.   James

They do a fair amount of bodybuilding style training James

See the link below for a variation of their first 3 weeks of a 12 week cycle. I say variation because Sean says below that the training can change slightly.

I've been wanting to ask, what is the "cajun deadlift"?

We do all types of assistance exercises. Not all in one workout but we switch it up throughout the training cycle. Ex: pull ups wide grip, narrow grip, behind the neck, lat pull-downs, bent-over rows, upright rows, curls, lunges, planks, medicine ball push ups, med ball toss, dumb-bell presses, sprints, 1 leg squats, and i'm sure there are more I can't think of right now.

Thanks for the article Shaun.   This posting has provided me as well as the rest of the lifters on the forum with some excellent resources.  I often wondered about the extra assistance exercises Sean.  From what it looks like you guys do a great mix of strength and assistance work.  I cannot wait to mix a lot of these ideas into my routine when we start up a new phase.   We have a competition coming up and then the Arnold right after that.   So after the Arnold i want to incorporate these different exercises.  I think some of the body building will help out with strength and help prepare for the body for the actual lifts.    I really appreciate all of   of your contributions.  Thanks again.   James

No problem. I just wish more people would put their training programs out there you know. If they think they have something that can help other lifters in the USA they should share their ideas and maybe a little brainstorming from somebody else can help other lifters in the training. After all it's really us against the world and we have alot of catching up to do.
