My Training
« on: Jan 28, 2011, 12:10 PM »
OK, Works is slow and I've got time to re-train my self in oly lifting. I'ts been two years since I worked out with
weights. Atrophy has made me weak. Last winter was very busy, did'nt have a chance to get back at it. Working underwater
is isometric, holding on as hard as you can with an arm or a leg and operate a tool with the other, then switch up.
Usually spend about 6 hours a day doing isometrics. my body gets use to it and atrophies slowly. Once work slows I really
lose strenght and I start lifting again. This time it been hard to face the weights. Something reminded me of a guy I
saw olympic weightlifting a long time ago and I thought that I might be able to take my bar and a couple of 20 kg plates
with me on the road. Maybe do 10 set in the morning before work. I'll see how that goes. I get pretty burnt out blowing bubbles
all day so I will have to do it in the morning.

Anyway..I'm starting from scratch. Thanks to Andy Dick's thread on "Knee pain" I read Dan John's stuff and watched
"Squat RX" and I'm focused. I have been to the local gym for the last month but It's no place to do oly. lifting.
To many people in a small area. I'm better off here at home for this. I've been working on my strength all last month
and today was my very first olympic weightlifting workout.

overhead deep squats with dowel 7x15
some high rep benching
dis-locaters
leg lift 200 slow 4x50
streaching

These numbers are pitifull but I'll make steady progress and I will prevail.
