Weightlifters Wanted

Pulled this off of Glenn Pendlay's site. Looks like a good deal for the right person!
California Strength is now looking for 2-3 lifters who have the potential and desire to reach a high standard in Olympic Weightlifting to join our Elite team. Qualified lifters will receive a stipend to cover living expenses and will live and train as a full-time professional lifter in the East Bay area of Northern California.
Lifters accepted into the program will be coached by Glenn Pendlay, will be provided free of charge with the supplements, nutritional advice, physical therapy, massage, and other recovery methods needed to train at this level, and will train daily with National and International level athletes. You bring the talent and work ethic, we will provide everything else.
If you are interested, please contact me at
glennpendlay@yahoo.com
to arrange a recruiting trip. We will pay for a plane ticket and accomodations for qualified athletes.

How come Glenn is doing this? Just to give back somethiong to the sport? It sounds like an awesomoe opptunity for an elite lifter. Good on Glenn.
(btw, did anyone else find the subtlety in the line below amusing?)

From what I hear USA weightlifters are tested practically weekly so I doubt Glen would risk it.

We are not trying to cheat. We are doing everything within the rules that we can do, some methods are common knowledge, some methods are not. But we are a clean program.
Here is a 160kg snatch in the 94kg weight class by a CLEAN Jon North.... done today in competition as a third attempt. Come on out and join us...

Glenn, I didn't mean to insult or cause offense, or accuse.
I am of kind of a wierd opinion. Weightlifting is an elite sport, and i think most of the guys who medal at the olympics are using something at some point of time.
In order to compete with those guys, i think one would have to use similar methods.
If athletes choose such methods, and don't get caught. Well then that is technically legal and 'clean'.
If an athlete doesn't use, then that is also great.
Anyway Glenn, i am not from usa, but i think this is great contribution to usa weightlifting

RESPECT! What a great offer, Glenn I've been watching your videos religiously. I live in a city in Canada where their is no gyms for hundreds of miles specializing in weightlifting. So your tutorial videos really help me a lot, thanks for sharing the free knowledge. All the best to the folks down in Cali Strength, can't wait until Caleb, Jon, and Donny make the olympics.

Sounds like a great opportunity for some USA lifters. Curious myself to what other recovery methods are?
