The bearing bars are the only ones i have used and the are good bars. I like the knurling on my Eleiko but the Pendlay has a very nice knurling pattern too.

I have the bushing bar the year before nexgen came out. All I can say is it is garbage. no spin, horribly aggressive knurling. Maybe the nex-gen are better but I will never find out. Next bar is going to be Elieko.

I have experience with the nextgen bushing bar. We bought 7 for our football facility. After using them for over a year, some of the bars have "ok" spin and others are worse. Even some have small bends in the bar. These bars get a whole lot of use and unfortunately a little abuse. However, for the money (school budget) I would probably go with the pendlay's again. I do image the bearing bar has better spin.
In our basketball facility, we have the old pendlay black bars and they have been absolutely great... No bends and great spin. I wish I could have access to those models.

Tom, I have a 21 Year old Eleiko bar that has a few chips in the chrome and spins as well if not better than a new Eleiko. The Pendlay needle bearing bar has good spin and seems to be a good bar that will last a long time. The price seems very fair IMO.
I have taken apart older Pendlay bushing bars and it seems that the lube just leaks out over time. I put hyd oil in them and it improves it quite a bit. You can buy snap ring pliers for like $20 and pull a sleeve off. I assume this voids the warranty.
