The Kanama shoe from Toronto weightlifting are the best IMO. They have a new website, just up www.kanamahp.ca

I also tried of wearing dress shoes while performing weightlifting. The lifting and dress shoes are both good and very comfy to wear. I have no issues of wearing dress shoes.

I have a pair of these retro Rigert-esque babies being made now.  They are not dress shoes, but I do plan to wear them with a suit and tie on occasion.

Since I am something of an Imelda Marcos type with regard to lifting shoes, I'll try to find a way to get those Asics, if they are available in Japan.  Look just like Kakiashvilis's shoes.  Two piece design is great - allows you to take them to any decent cobbler and get the heel height exactly right.
