have any of you found yourselves switching up lifting shoes for a pair of dress shoes? ive been doing this lately and found it somewhat regrettable that they work more effectively than my legit lifting shoes in most cases.
i suspect the bulgarian method invites a high amount of douchbaggery - me

yes i have noticed this, and it is normally on account of the split heel-sole design, and the fact the heel is a bit lower.

For some reason the only manufacturer that uses the 'dress shoe' design is asics, who only sell within japan.

unfortunately i hear that they are not very long lasting, and when they break they are not very servicable. I also notice that very few elite lifters wear them.

IMO, the last good shoe adidas made were the red and silver ironwork ii. Even to this day many elite lifters wear them, they are very solid, and i hear that they are very serviceable.

I also hear the asics are very tough, because they are made of thick leather, and the sole is servicable.

It is my understanding that they are next to impossible to get for those of us in the states even from Japan.
