Putting the pieces together

OK team. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about the snatch & c&J in terms of the full mechanics, what happens after what...in terms of how to make sense to me. I'd really appreciate it if somebody could correct any of my misunderstandings.
I've recieved just over a month of direct coaching with wieghtlifting now. Previously i'd been self taught (self taught for a few months), previously before that i dabbled in powerlifting...
Now...with the first pull, starting out flat footed, arms in line with the bar, chest up, arse out. Standing up, leading with the hips, not directly using the arms to move the bar off the ground. The best way i can explain this (to myself) is rolling from my heels to the balls of my feet. At the end of leading with the hips, I'm in full extension, standing tall on my toes. Being in this position for only a fraction of a second. Once in this position, with the bar touching (or at least pretty close) to my hip, pulling the bar upwards in a high pull approach is done with maximal force in a quick solid movement.
With pulling the bar upwards in a 'high pull' fashion, the bar suddenly becomes weightless. Though still having the preset weight on (ie 95kg). With the bar now weightless, I now move my feet wider & squat down to take stock of the bar as it's starting to fall down.
At this point, once feeling stable & arms' solidly locked, stnading tall, with the pressure on the heels.
Now, generally speaking...am i onto something, in terms of the leading with the hips, once the bar is at hip level cunducting a high pull to make the bar weightless giving an opportunity to squat down & receive the bar?
