Looks like it is part of a habit you have developed to get your knees out of the way of the bar.

Can you do partial mid-range pulls, back and forth below and above the knees, focusing on not allowing them to come in? Or try starting with the hips a little bit higher. Just some ideas.

oh my. that's quite unusual. i can see that it must be pretty frustrating.

Have you considered training just the first lift ? Does this happen when you do the snatch?

Like Shaun said, try having your legs a little wider & fix the habit!!

I just want to say that watching your video reminds me of a guy who had a similar problem but with his back squats. He called them "hola hop" squats as his knees were bending in quite  unusual manner and that even on a very light poundage's (long under his max squat).

I'm not saying that you have the same problem but looking at your pull it looks very similar to me. So if you don't fix it on your own you maybe want to see a good sport orthopedic  - as I think he did in the end as well, problem being something with his spine, I think...

That is very unusual, never seen that before.
I would also point your toes out just a bit, so the knees start pointing outwards.

You just have a motor control issue.

I'd venture to guess that your jumps (without weight) and landings are similar to this issue.  I'd also presume your single leg stance/mini squat causes a buckle.  Put a theraband loosely around your knees and work on jumps while maintain tension on the band.  If they 'buckle' the band will fall, push the knees out during the jumps and land softly with knees out.  Single limb stance activity while pushing the knees out.  Band walking in a bow legged fashion will wake up the glute min/med/max as well.

One more warmup exercise.  Hooklying glute bridge with band around the knees.  Bridge with the glutes (not hams), abduct band at the top.

Hope this helps.

Possibly weak hip abductors or external rotators?

Not necessarily weak, just inactive.
