The best bars for the money I have ever used
(other than amazing deals I have come across unpredictably)
are from BFS.

They offer varying grades, and I am not sure which
were the ones that so impressed me,
but I think they are the mid-grade Super ones.
They are not of standard size (45lbs instead of 20k,
no center knurling, and w/ non-standard markings)
but the spin, flex, etc are great for anyone wanting to save $$.
Also -- you should really consider
how you construct your platform.
2mx3mx75mm can be made for about $90 of horse mats
over $60 of ring mats, over $60 of OSB,
retained by $15 of 2x4s, w/ a premium plywood center section
for $25 for a total of $250 that will GREATLY
save wear and tear on your bar, bumpers, and relations
w/ people who may complain of shock noise.

I agree w/ Mark Davis --
"Compromising on basic beliefs
in a doomed effort to be liked
is as dishonest as it is futile."
