Weightlifting Singlet Size
« on: Jan 12, 2010, 12:06 PM »
I'm going to buy an Adidas Singlet: the Atenus model (see: http://www.dynamic-eleiko.com/products/liftingsuits.htm )

Can someone recommended a size?

I'm ~215lbs @ 6"2 (check out my youtube for my body shape)

They sell them on eBay...an XL is for a 46/48" chest and a L is for a 44/46" chest...my chest is ~42" which aligns with a medium (I assume I'm measuring correct...under the armpits and around the nipples?) I'm leaning towards a Large, but given my height I don't want something that looks ridiculous.

I'm curious about how tight these are and if they assist with lifts like the power lifting suits and shirts. I've never actually seen one so I'm not sure if they are assistive or not.

Their form fitting, but you won't get any pop out of them like you would a PL suit

It's basically just spandex

Thanks, I suspected that they would not be assistive like PL suits since it seems to me that assisting in popping up would also be a hindrance when trying to pull yourself under the bar.

XL.

I am right around your same weight but, you are a bit taller than me. I wear XL and have the W8 lifter suit (black) and love it.

Thanks. I'd love to buy a W8, but it would be over $100 Canadian :(

I'll get the XL

I am also about 215 and am about 5'11"  i wear a large and it seems to be perfect for me, i believe i tryed on a XL and it was a little to loose and i wore a medium when i was a 85er.

Looking at those products I kind of want to know more about those weightlifting pants. I have the hardest time finding good workout pants, don't know why.
