^ I looked at the Velco belts, but the clamp makes me hesitant (breakage)

Is yours blue in colour? If so, where did you buy it? I can't find the blue one anywhere.

^ I have a few questions:

1. Where did you get yours?

2. A rather personal question, how wide is your waist and what size did you go with?  I crank down a lot on my leather belt...I'm wondering if I should size down to account for this.

3. Have you ever had the velcro snap off during a lift? This is my main concern.

1)I didn't get a valeo belt, I got one by York (which is similar to the valeo, but with no clamp, just velcro).

I prefer the Harbinger one, which I got from ebay, but the website you linked is of the same price.

2) i have a waistline around 30", and went for a medium, and found that once broken in, it digs in no more then a conventional weightlifting belt whcih is thin at the front.

The Harbinger website has a measurment table telling what size you are, so look it up. The belts tend to cover a wide range.

3)Nope, never happened. Not even on the york belt which had a velcro webbing strap 2" wide as you can see in the pic. The Harbinger one is 3" wide, so it is even more secure.

the velcro straps in most of the way around the belt, so it is very strong. In fact i would say you get a little more stretch from normal leather belts, which tend to loosen at the holes in the buckle.

Yes I have the blue and red one.  It has been many years...  My wife got it for me as a gift.  I believe she purchased through USA weightlifting site at the time.  I don't think they sell that belt with the blue and red anymore.  But, you can get the same model in black (the one under the female weightlifter's pic) at http://www.muscledriverusa.com/webe.html for $21.99.  For sizing info you can go to http://www.valeofit.com/?id=10&prodId=6&CatId=26&Parent=4.

Believe me the clamp with the "Patented cam buckle and locking torque ring closure system" will not fail.
