How do you prevent the forward torso lean in squats and in the catch positions of the lifts? The forward torso lean affects my jerks as well.

for squats-keep chest up, back straight, go down deep with the weight and feel it more in the middle of foot-heels instead of on your toes with a bent over back.
for Oly lifts- practice with light weight, do drop snatches with broom stick. practice good form.

If you have any sort of grip issues, never use straps for anything but pulls.
