Legs Tired
«

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on this. I know my legs will be a little tired from time to time lifting legs 5 days a week. I am on a program by John Thrush so its not like I am going heavy every day. But some days my legs just feel tired especially right in the morning when I wake up they feel like I just got done working out. Does anyone have an suggestions for something I can add into my diet that might help with it? I remember reading that if you are deficient in potassium it can cause your legs to feel tired a lot. I take a multivitamin every day and eat a banana a day. Even when I take like a week off sometimes during that week still my legs will just feel tired.

well training legs 5 days a week will make your legs tired, I would make sure you are eating enough protein and complex carbs as well as potassium. Also, make sure you get enough sleep every night. Are you stretching between sets? and after your workout?
Have you considered massage? That would help a bit but make sure you are stretching.

Massage is out of the question right now I can't afford it. Stretching I could definitely do a lot better at post workout.

Try a foam roller for your massage. At 42 years old, my legs are usually tired just from standing at my job all day. Performing self-massage with the foam roller really feels great and does wonders for those tired legs.

Amen on the foam roll. It really helps me out a lot. I keep learning to get different angles and stuff to use it better also. I'm doing 15 minutes 2-3 times a day now. Helps me train better and sleep better.

I foam roll after warm-up before every workout. The days when I am feeling pretty good I find using a medball really helps at getting in there and loosening things up.
