Weightlifting training bottoms

I have used, lycra style shorts, and tights in the past for weightlifting training.
The problem is I tend to wear the fronts of them out pretty quickly where the bar comes into contact with my upper thighs.
I'm interested whether anyone has found a particular type of shorts or track suit bottoms to be suitable for weightlifting training, in terms of keeping the legs warm, not restricting squat depth and resisting wear, also not being too expensive!

i usually wear a singlet with that tough black material on the front of the legs in the summer and in the winter I almost always wear a old singlet under a pair of adidas soccer pants.

I have a defintive answer for you:
KooGa Rugby murrayfield shorts
, the cotton ones. And wear a compression short underneath.
Tough as nails, cheap as chips.
I wore 1 pair, 3 times a week for o-lifting, and after all that abuse from the bar rubbing up against it, it survived a over year, and even then, it was the crotch that worse out from thigh rub, and not bar rub.
They are very loose, and have pockets too. Ebay normally sell them.
