I seriously doubt that. The fact is that much of the World is jealous of America and would like to bring her down to their level. Many would also like to loot us dry to "help the poor." Add to that background the fact that the USA Federal Reserve caused this global economic recession by artificially lowering interest rates allowing for absurd mortgage loans to people with no proof of income, no credit check, and no down payment and the rest of the World is rightfully ticked off. Unfortunately, they don't understand economics any better than obama and most of the World is praising obama for destroying the value of the dollar, the world's reserve currency. The Olympic committee has always been pro-communist also since the commies use looted money to support sports.

The idea obama was going to give a pretty speech and change the world is just typical of his arrogance and ignorance.

Chris ;  you are probably right;  border crossing wouldn't impede athletes from participating in the Olympics.  As for all your other remarks I would disagree with you.   The USA is the greatest country in the world.   It gives you a chance to help out the less fortunate countries in any way you can.   That is what life is all about.

Its easy to talk about what other people's life ought to be about when you have no concern for individual rights. Its the same argument the American slave owners of the South made- that it was in the best interest of the overall society. Its the justification for every evil ever done in the history of the World. Not only is it evil, it is a lie. A good example of this is obama being a multi-millionaire that won't help his own destitute brother in Kenya, steals from the poor and middle class to bail out wealthy bankers and corporate elites, and advocates mass slavery under the name of helping out those less fortunate. Fascism in the guise of capitalism.
