XL-- 49 inches
 
L-- 43 Inches

Most men wear the belt under the belly so I guess it depends on where you wear the belt and what size that part of you is.  In your case, I'm guessing you will need a large.

Do you ship internationally? I live in the UK.

Could you give a range of sizes for the various belts? from the buckle tip to the last hole, and the shortest hole?

I wear my belt 33-32 inches, and have a tendancy to loose and gain fat on my gut across the year.
