An interview with Jim Schmitz
« on: Aug 08, 2009, 08:51 PM »
Hi everyone,

I recently had the pleasure to train with Jim Schmitz in San Francisco on the last leg of my holiday in California. Here is a link to my account of my two days training there and also to the first of a three part interview with Jim, which deals with his experiences in the sport of weightlifting as a whole. The second part deals with technical issues with the lifts and the third part deals with how he writes programmes for his lefters and competition strategies he uses. I will let you know when I have time to put these videos up. Here is the link:

Barry,

Totally great interview and training vids!
Can't wait for the next installment, a wonderful learning experience.

Cool snatches, nice deadlifts. I do them too, but accelerate the bar above the knees and end up on the toes fully extended. Pause the bar on the return to the floor.

Thanks very much for posting.
