A little technique help
«
on:

Here are my snatches for the day. It started out a little rough but I was able to get my 3x1 with 85. After that I tried to hit 90kg for a new pr. Anyone have any pointers for me to work on. One thing I feel is on my pull it feels like my knees are always in the way and I have to move the bar around my knees.

If you feel like your pulling around your knees one of two things may be the issue. You may be using your back too much instead of your legs - the first pull is 100% legs. The second problem may be tight hamstrings. I had tight hamstrings for a long time and always scraped the bar up my shins until the finally loosened up and then I could lift right. In terms of the misses in general you seem to be feeling yourself under the bar (I know it was in slow-mo). You were dropping your feel behind your hips - you need to jump them down hard into the platform so they land underneath you. Also, work on flexibility in your hips, knees, and ankles as you seem quite tight - I can relate.

Valiant attempts Andy!
In the first bunch of lits, the bar follows the upper thighs quite nicely, but you jump back, away from the bar. You could chalk a line on the floor and aim to not move forward or backwards. Maybe you need some sideways feet displacement for your squat, that's personal. If you force yourself to keep the balls of the feet planted as long as possible (or for the full duration) your pull will automatically get even better, eliminating swing by forcing you to use the upper body as a lever and the feet as fulcrum, keeping them under the bar.
All the best,

I think your shoulders are too far over the bar. Look at the frame at 2:09. From there, you never get a complete upward bar path and somewhat swing it from your hips. You do look strong enough for this weight.

Thanks all I will try to work on these things. It hard to see in the video but the mat I am on is actually a bunch of interlocking segments that are also taped together. So I can use those lines. There is a line down the middle that is green tape but then I would have to move the swissballs out of the way and sometimes I am just too lazy to do so. The backwards jump is something I seem to only do on the snatch and I don't even realize it, some of my attempts I got I was like this video might be pretty good I didnt feel like I really jumped back at all. Then I watched it and was like "I jumped back that far!" I think I will pay more attention to the lines though as you suggested. It is bascially the only lift I seem to struggle on the most. As Mike said the weight really does not feel that heavy and I feel like if I could just work these few issues out I would be good for 92.5 or 95.
