I second that Paul the good ol boy mentality is rampant in high school and college athletics.  I saw it first hand with strength and conditioning people with hardly any strength and conditioning knowledge getting jobs over more knowledgeable coaches.

One hopes he will avoid the kind of fallacy that has robbed Canada of half (or more) of their potential hockey talent.

I would ask what he thinks of the book "Outliers".
