Good squat stands?
« on: Apr 14, 2009, 07:42 AM »
Hello,

I am looking for new/used squat stands.  I have seen some have load limits etc.  Any recommended types?  Where can I find them?

Thanks in advance.

We have designed some squat racks and the first production batch will be ready early next week. Unfortunately we haven't gotten the pictures back from the photographer to show quite yet. We should have them early next week. But they are very similar to the Eleiko racks with some custom improvements and a little less fluff (no spotting hooks and normal pins instead of the pull-pins):

1) The base is wider so the supports can be spread out farther.
2) The base supports can be pinned down so they won't slide on accident.
3) There are more notches for height adjustment so you can get just the right height.
4) The catch to hold the bar is longer so it is less likely someone will miss them, as when multiple lifters are sharing a rack and one is taller.
5) The base tubing is stronger and will not dent if weights are accidentally dropped on them.

Other than that, they are pretty much the same as the Eleiko racks for much less money. The bar rack is padded of course so it won't scratch your bar and you can have the racks painted any color you want with rust protection included for free. Powder coating in whatever color wanted is also available for an extra $60. We will be selling them for $279 so I do not think you can get comparable racks for anywhere near that price.

Chris, how do I go about buying one?  I just sold my power rack.
I notice they are not on your e-store.   Let me know as soon as possible.
Great wrist straps by the way.
Thanks, Alex

I will add the racks to the E-Store tomorrow, but there won't be pictures for a few days or so.

Actually, we will have jerk blocks pretty soon also and they will also be significantly cheaper than the competition.  :)peaceout

I'll be your guinea pig!

How long from going public are they?

P.S. Chris - you get my PM regarding shipping on the shorts?
