So ive just seen the start list and im amazed at how many athletes quebec is sending. Isnt there a rule that you can only send a certain number of athletes per category like were told in alberta its only 2 per category. so if so whi is quebec allowed to send 9 in my category?

well sometimes theres an "A" team and "B" team that a province can send, but that would only account for a max of 4 in each category.

The rules for provincial teams for the JUNIOR nationals are different and for that competition, the team sizes are capped.
For the SENIOR nationals, there is no limit to the number of lifters that can go from any province and in any category. I prefer it this way - if you have qualified for nationals, you should be able to go. It leads to a placing that better reflects your ranking within a weight class across the country.
Don't you think it's more interesting, as well? Meet more people, even if they are your competitors?

It's this weekend! Good luck to all who are lifting. I am wondering if any members of the national squads are switching weight classes this year e.g. Francis Luna Grenier.
