I don't think I understand your description of how you say you did it, Patrick - could you post a video sometime? Above the groin is a very high brush in the clean for a long armed lifter
I have very long arms for my frame (76" from finger tip to finger tip and I'm 5'10"). When I stand fully erect, the bar is about at mid thigh. Great for deadlifting. But not for cleans. But from reading this thread, I believe there are technical ways to maximize extension that could potentially get the bar to brush higher. Just need to be patient and pull like hell at the top.Hmmmm... Lots to ponder. Lots to sort out.All the best, Arden
Why does it matter if the bar brushes high or not?On Kolecki it actually does not brush above the sack.He's over 6' tall, uses a narrow grip and a narrow stance, the bar isn't going to brush above his groin. He does actively pull in with the lats at the top which seems to make the bar brush higher, but I think he is doing this to keep the bar close.
