Repair it?

No way!

If my Eleiko bar packs in after 20years, I would hang it on my wall like a trophy, possibly in a glass case - a true accomplishment, source of inspiration, and then buy a new one.

Well, why not just go ahead and buy one for your wall then?

Or buy it for me, and I'll give it back for your wall in 20 years.    :)dance

Cos then it'd just be bar.... no sentimental value, so would rather lift with it!

But, if it has sentimental value, which it does, after 20 years of use, wouldn't it have more sentimental value after 30 or 40 years? I believe Eleiko even has gold plated versions you could buy for your wall.  rockon:)

Heh :)

I guess it's similar to hanging bent power lifting bars in dungeon power lifting gyms.. cept you can't really fix a bent bar... Eleiko steal last forever, cept when the knurling starts to suck and chrome comes off ><

Wish I had the $$$ to collect the Olympic Competition sets...
I shed a quiet tear when I saw the Beijing sets for sale, but couldn't get it :(

After once having a lot of weightlifting equipment, I can tell you I am happy to keep the minimum- 1 rack, 1 eleiko bar, 1 non-needle bar, a set of eleiko weights, and a few odd small items for abs and such. That is enough to drag around from place to place when you move as it is IMO. I don't want more equipment anymore. The last thing I would ever want to own again is a set of jerk blocks. :)peaceout
