You should see his squat vids -- they show that as soon as Pat has the technical sharpness, he'll be 2012 A session worthy w/ his current strength levels.
He was not O-lifting yet at this time last year.
Go to the BFS site to see the archived magazine from last summer showing him winning Val Balison's HS Nat'l Power Clean meet.

WOW! That is some great lifting by such a young man. I hope he continues to make progress, stays healthy and can bring some more exposure to this great sport!
According to my calculations which are to be taken with a grain of salt, he should be capable of a 280kg back squat. That means he has the strength for a 389 total with a 173 snatch and a 216 clean and jerk. Of course, everyone is different I my experience is to throw the calculators out with the super heavys anyway. The results of the Arnolds list him at 128kgs BW and a 160/195/355 total. He attempted 166/205 for misses on his last attempts. Incredible lifting for a "novice" with room to grow!
Pat, if you ever read this - GOOD LUCK! I hope to cheer for an American at the Olympics that same way I cheered for Chigisev and Steiner last year. That was fun to watch, but it will be more fun if it is an American doing it. Dream big!

He's done 290, looking good for 300+ (check Brozknows on youtube).
Yeah, sure would be nice to see two Americans in the supers A session in 2012!!
