I pretty much wear shorts or sweatpants.

I have the same problem, it takes me forever to find jeans that fit because my thighs are too big for my waste, you need to try multiple different kinds of jeans and cuts to get a pair that works, it takes forever. I go once a year to buy a pair of jeans and I dread it every year.
Current Pr's:
Snatch-  136kg
C&J-       170kg
F Squat   200kg
B squat   230kg
Sn Dead  225kg
Cln Dead 250Kg

John,

Levi Silvertabs, either relaxed fit or baggy, work well.  You may still need one waist size over, but the fit works pretty well.  They can be a little expensive (I've paid $40-$50+ for them , and that was a few years ago when I stocked up), but they're good quality and last.

Good luck,

Gene

Actually, I just checked the pair I'm wearing and they're called Loose Fit.

At any rate, there's no such thing as legs that are too big!

To paraphrase an old diva saying, your legs can never be too big or too strong!

Good luck, and Rock On,

Gene

I am an admitted clothes fan. I like stylish clothes. Levis 569 (loose fit) are stylish, affordable (no more than the $50.00 range), look good, have a designer kind of look. They aren't the stonewashed, dorky, tapered leg crap the old men wear. I get a size larger than my waist, maybe a tad larger if need be. You can look cool to the ladies in these still and will not have to walk around in adidas workout pants like a college kid or like you are a wanna be SEC football payer or something.

What are your lifts??

If they are not disproportionately big (CJ over 75% SQ, SN over 60%), then why are you spending so much energy on squatting??

Just go w/ 5 total singles (60, 100, 140, 85%, 90%), once per week.  Progress it slowly (build up the top sets to three of 90%x1 before making the next 5k increase).

Another wkt ea wk can end w/ 5 total FS, going w/ your projected CJ max for 2 then 3 before increasing 5 k the 3rd wk.

The last wkt w/ some kind of squats per week should be more explosive, like thrust jerks or SN-gr sq thrust jerks w/ overhead sq.

PS -- make the sq of better quality by pausing a half to full second at the bottom.
