I'm hoping to start Olympic Weightlifting this summer, but I don't know of any coaches near my house. Supposedly, Bud Charniga lives near me, but I can't find a place to contact him at. Anyone know a place or site or anything that could get me into contact with Mr. Charniga?

Here's the contact information posted on one of his web sites (dynamic-eleiko). I don't know if he is actively coaching, but he's been easy to reach when I've ordered equipment from his business, and even if he's not coaching, he may be able to point you in the right direction.

I have heard many great things about Bud. A good friend of mine who was the strength coach at Central Michigan in the 90s is friends with him and really thinks highly of Bud. He is the type of person who will tell it like it is and has a huge knowledge base of this great sport. He also has to be very intelligent because he is the one who has translated the manuals on the website from Russian into English. It would be to your advantage to make a friend like that just to learn things about training methods, etc.
