If so, please introduce yourself.

I'll be the short wide bald ugly guy with glasses that gets taller as you near him.   :)ugh

I'm really looking forward to it.  My wife is actually going to enjoy a few days of uninterrupted shopping in her old stomping grounds.

All the best,
 Arden

  • one honored dad w/ Taylor and his SAW

I lived in Fairfax County for 16 yrs and they never had such an event closer than DE, just a few local meets put on by myself and Pete Miller.

Have a great time!!

Dave - we are working on changing this and making the sport more accessible in the DC Metro area.  We have formed a new USAW club about a year ago, the Capital Barbell Club, and have been holding weekly training sessions, developmental meets and now hosting the USAW coaching course.  We have unearthed some new interest in the sport in the DC area and have also attracted some experienced lifters who have been hidden away doing their own training.

Fred,

Keep up the good work in DC!  I have heard some great things about what you are doing all the way up here in Hershey!

Thanks Paul - things are starting to come together this way and we've got a solid group of lifters of all ages and abilities.  Most importantly, people in this area finally have a place where they can come together to partake in our sport.

Wow. I had a great time at Potatmic Crossfit this past weekend.  There were 27 people at the course.  I couldn't believe how large it was.  And during lunch, several trained including Dave Miller, Veronica, Adam and a bunch of the other East Coast Gold lifters.  Several other with the Capital club lifted - Bull, Rick, and Mustafa.  It was and is a great environment.

Fred, thanks so much for all your efforts. That was awesome.

All the best,
 Arden
