New Utah State Record!

Hello all-
I had a good snatch session at the Falcon Open this last weekend. Here is the culminating lift, a 117 kg snatch (was sideways, but then Paul was kind enough to help me out):

And here is a slow-mo version, compliments of Paul LaDuke:

Feel free to offer any comments!

Sorry about the video being sideways; does anyone know how to fix that?
Lean your head to the left
But that's a sick lift! How old is the guy?

Awesome lift and a great fight! How old are you?
That is an easy fix if you have Windows XP or Vista. Open Windows Movie Maker and import the video into the program. Place the video into the timeline. Click on Effects and scroll down to Rotate 90. Click and drag this effect onto the desired video clip. Then render the movie.
If I have time today, I will see if I can do it with the youtube video. I have a snow day at work, so I might git-r-dun!

Taylor,
It didn't take me long to do. I have attached the video in the correct orientation. I also took the liberty to tightly edit and slow down the video to 1/8th speed in the 2nd attachment. You may download them and post them to your Youtube account if you wish.
Nice lift.

Thanks Paul! Now i don't have to cock my head to the side to see myself lift!
I turned 20 this past November, so this was my first meet as a senior.
The Utah State Championships are in about 3-1/2 weeks, so I'm hoping for bigger results then!

Your welcome, it gave me something to do as I am stuck inside today!
My only comment is that you rushed your recovery squat. Take just a moment to ensure the bar is in the right slot so that your hips stay under the bar during recovery. In your rush, the hips get behind the bar and that is why you had to walk forward with the lift. Good lift other wise!

I have removed the file attachments posted by Paul to save disc space on our sever, since the videos are now on youtube.
Taylor, nice lifting. IMO however, your hips are slightly too low at the start causing a weaker pulling position from the floor and as the bar travels past the knees.
